TUIS Curriculum
The curriculum forms the basis for our learning and experiences that our children enjoy during their time at TUIS.
TUIS offers a broad and balanced curriculum:
Contributes to the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of students in school and society. Prepares school students for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.
Key stages 1 and 2
Children aged 1-5 years (ages 6 to 11) follow the requirements of the Department of Education and broadly include the framework of the National Curriculum for England. Core subjects: English, mathematics and science Fundamental disciplines: art and design, geography, history, music, physical education
Key Stage 3
Children aged 6-8 years (11 to 14 years old) follow the requirements of the Ministry of Education and broadly include the framework of the National Curriculum for England., Core subjects: English, mathematics, science, physical education, community values (including social , cultural, moral, spiritual and ethical issues). Core subjects: art, computer science, geography, history, languages (French, Uzbek, Russian)
Key Stage 4
Students in grades 9-11 (aged 14 to 17) follow the requirements of the Department of Education and broadly include the National Curriculum Framework for England. Main disciplines: English (language and literature), mathematics, natural sciences (biology, chemistry, physics), physical education. Other subjects: World history, geography, art, languages (Russian, French, Uzbek), world religions, Uzbek law, Uzbek history, economics.
Implementation
The curriculum is planned effectively, ensuring progression and continuity. It promotes enjoyment of learning and commitment to learning and achieving goals. Through the provision of rich and varied activities in our curriculum, we strive to: Encourage the best possible progress and achievement for all of our children.To enable children to make connections between different areas of the curriculum. To help our children think creatively and solve problems Develop their ability to learn and work independently and collaboratively. To enable all children to respond positively to opportunities, challenges and responsibilities; To enable all children to acquire and develop a wide range of knowledge, skills and understanding. Use assessment and goal setting to enable our students to make appropriate progress.
